Butcher’s Row in 1800

Butchers’ Row referred to a row of butchers’ shops on the south side of Aldgate High Street.

  • This image is actually of the Butchers Row in St Clements near Fleet Street. The gate at the end is Temple Bar. The street was demolished in the early 19th century.
